Devils PunchBowl
The Devils Punchbowl is situated in the east of Hindhead, the whole area is the largest open space in surrey. From the Pride of the Valley you can walk or cycle this beautiful scenery with stop offs at various places of natural interest.
Wagoners Wells
Waggoners' or Wakeners' Wells consist of a series of stream-fed man-made ponds which may have originally been constructed as hammerponds for the local iron industry in the 17th-century. They appear never to have been used for iron production and today these ponds are important for wildlife and contain a variety of fish.

An interesting and varied circular walk from Hindhead, through heath and wood.

Farnham Castle
One of the oldest continually inhabited buildings in Southern England; Farnham Castle was the home of the powerful Bishops of Winchester for over 900 years.

Alice Holt Forest

Frensham Pond
The Common comprises a large area of heathland, together with some coniferous and mixed woodland, and two large ponds, known as Frensham Great and Little Ponds, which were built in the Middle Ages to provide fish for the Bishop of Winchester's estate.

Goodwood Horse and Motor Racing
Set in 12,000 acres of rolling Sussex Downland, Goodwood has long been famous for both its natural beauty and its legendary hospitality.

The home of the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years, Goodwood House, designed by James Wyatt, contains one of the finest collections of English paintings and French porcelain and furniture in England. The Regency State Apartments are adorned with views of London by Canaletto; sporting scenes depicting the Estate, by Stubbs; and family and royal portraits by Van Dyck, Lely and Reynolds, as well as an unique collection of Sèvres porcelain, decorated with colourful and exotic birds, commissioned at the factory in the 18th century.
Cowdray Park Polo Club
The Polo Club has 2 sets of grounds. The Lawns and River grounds are very near to Midhurst and the Ambersham pitches are located halfway between Petworth and Midhurst as shown on the map.The daily schedule will show which grounds are being used – always subject to last minute change.
