The Pride of the
Valley is under New Management!
David and Angela Colley have recently taken over from David’s son
Andrew, who has now moved on to take up a position in a leading
hotel in Basingstoke.
Head Chef Luke Gale
is now running the kitchen receiving great accolades for
“cutting-edge” cuisine from all those who have sampled his dishes.
Luke came to the Pride of the Valley February 2010, after many
years working in the Channel Islands. His particular passion is to
provide superbly cooked food at reasonable prices.
Produce is locally
sourced, organic wherever possible with the emphasis on seasonal
fruits and vegetables, meat and fish. A herb garden is under
cultivation and the intention is to provide a rich variety of as
many home grown ingredients as possible.
Our aim is to
provide excellent standards throughout the hotel, retaining the
essence of a country Coaching Inn. The Pride of the Valley boasts
a traditional bar menu, containing many old favourites, together
with a restaurant providing Haute Cuisine. We have a special
children’s menu and also serve tea and coffee throughout the day.
